Our story.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were on the front lines of small business. We watched as up to 30% of Main Street businesses faced long-term closures. We watched thousands of small businesses across our community close permanently. And then, in horror, saw large companies not just survive. Some thrived. 

The thing is, small businesses are vital to every community. They represent much more than just a paycheck or a part of the economy. 

Being on those front lines helped us understand that building a small business wasn’t easy. And we learned that like any small business, vision is only the beginning. There’s also taxes, payroll, and hundreds of other challenges making it difficult for small businesses to thrive. And in the age of Amazon, it’s even harder. 

We founded Decada Group as a long-sighted holding company to acquire and grow small businesses we love. Because we’re passionate about seeing a vision through to fruition. 

When we buy a business, we work hard to honor the founder and their legacy…and view our role as picking up where they left off to take the business into its next chapter. Decada Group supplies a regimented approach to team building, solid strategy, and working capital so that these businesses can thrive and fulfill the visions on which they were founded.
